The "Three Little Pigs" Combo Pack.

Pasture Raised Leaf Lard (14 oz) or Pasture Raised Pure Lard (14 oz) and the wild one itself Wild Boar Lard?  With the "Three Little Pigs"  combo pack you have all the flavors at the ready.  Each fat is great and some are better for certain dishes than others.  Our guess is that you will find your favorite dishes for all three. We added 20% off to give you a little help pigging out! Here's a little more about each...

Pasture Raised Leaf Lard: comes from the the prized pig "leaf" (kidney fat). The leaf does not have muscle tissue and therefore makes the flavor less "porky" tasting than our Pure Lard which is made from back fat or belly fat. Therefore, Fatworks Pasture Raised Leaf Lard is in theory a lighter "more neutral" tasting fat. Bakers have cherished Leaf Lard for generations for making crusts, frosting, cakes and other pastries. Leaf Lard has the same naturally high smoke point as our other fats, making it perfect for frying and sautéing, especially when you want the natural flavors of your ingredients to shine. Fatworks Pure Premium Pastured Raised Leaf Lard is essential for anyone interested in cooking with traditional fat. You'll soon be Praising the Lard AND turning over a new leaf! (Sorry we had to say it.)

Pasture Raised Pure Lard: Whereas Pastured Leaf Lard is prized for it's light and neutral profile, our Pasture Raised Pure Lard is desired for its FLAVOR! Fatworks Pure Lard is primarily rendered from "Back Fat", sometimes called "Fatback." So, in summary, back fat is where it's at, and Fatworks is bringing fat back! Why in the Lard's name do we make this so confusing? Anyways, this is lard made for the pan, and is recommended for adding natural mild pork flavor to your dishes. Although we love it as a a great lard for frying and sautéing you can most certainly bake delicious crusts and pastries with Pure Lard just as you would with Pasture Raised Leaf Lard. Who knows, you may prefer it to Leaf Lard.

Wild, Wild Boar Lard: We are incredibly excited to offer you Fatworks Wild Boar Lard! The only lard with 420 mg of Omega 3 per serving! Sourced from truly wild hogs from the forests of Texas!  Wild Boar is the lard for serious lard aficionado’s, inspired Fatworkers, and cooks who like to get WILD in the kitchen. This lard is BY FAR the most flavorful of our pork lards! The best way to describe the taste of Wild Boar Lard is earthy, nutty and, wait for it…bacon-y. Wild boar it also the most beautiful of our lards.  (Yes, lard can be beautiful) with a deep rich caramel color. We can't wait for you to experience it. Great for savory pies, super flavorful sautéing of meats and vegetables, stews, confits, and even wild fries!

Alrighty then, it's time to Pig Out!
